Job summary

New Era Technology seeks an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud and containerized platforms supporting app development and deployment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, GitHub Actions, GitOps, Linux, Bash/PowerShell, and cloud automation experience across hybrid cloud environments. Mentoring and project leadership are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Platform/Cloud/DevOps experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS management.
• Experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating AWS EKS with on-prem infrastructure.
• Terraform and IaC experience.
• GitOps workflows for infra & app deployments.
• GitHub Actions CI/CD automation.
• Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Troubleshooting in Linux environments.
• Container orchestration experience.
• Automated deployment solutions development.
• Knowledge of securing AWS accounts & infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate across Dev, Infra, Security & Ops teams.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain custom GitHub Actions for building and deploying apps.
• Develop scripts and automation modules to deploy apps to target platforms.
• Design backup/restore frameworks for apps, containers & resources.
• Work with Kubernetes to build auto-remediation solutions in clusters.
• Develop IaC using Terraform following best practices.
• Build monitoring/observability solutions and centralized logging.
• Design GitOps workflows for infra and app deployments.
• Support and manage AWS EKS environments and on-prem integrations.
• Troubleshoot across Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, containers, and deployment environments.
• Implement container orchestration and deployment strategies.
• Support multi-cluster Kubernetes management tools.
• Mentor junior engineers on design & implementation.
