Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure powering our analytics ecosystem. You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform, interfacing with engineering and security teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with Airflow, Superset, DBT, and OpenMetadata, along with Terraform-based IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls. Remote-friendly, with cjIS eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (US citizenship or Green Card).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration.
• Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platforms across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow, and Superset in production environments.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments.
• Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata.
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
