Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Sr. Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure powering our analytics platform.

You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of data services in a remote, US-based environment. The role requires 8+ years in infra and data engineering, expert Airflow and Superset skills, strong Python, and cloud/IaC/Kubernetes/Docker proficiency, with CJIS clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• CJIS clearance eligibility required (U.S. citizenship or Green Card)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years)
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration
• Experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms
• Cloud platforms AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI with IAM and networking
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency
• Kubernetes and/or Docker in production
• DBT and OpenMetadata knowledge
• SQL and data modeling expertise
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements
• Experience applying AI technologies to improve workflows and outcomes

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow and Superset in production
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows
• Implement platform security, access controls, and compliance standards
• Develop data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
