Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure underpinning CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem.

You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform, sitting at the intersection of infrastructure and data engineering. Responsibilities include deploying Airflow and Superset, managing Terraform IaC, building CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security/compliance, modeling data with DBT/OpenMetadata, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration.
• Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate core data infrastructure and platform services.
• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow and Superset.
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Develop and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata.
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
