Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infra underpinning our analytics ecosystem. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and data engineering, owning reliability, scalability and performance of our data platform.

Responsibilities include deploying core tooling like Airflow and Superset, managing IaC with Terraform, building CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring data security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires CJIS eligibility (U.S. citizenship or Green Card).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of combined infra and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Airflow deployment and administration.
• Experience with Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud experience across AWS, GCP, Azure or OCI including IAM and networking.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• DBT and OpenMetadata experience.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Experience applying AI tech to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling (Airflow, Superset) in production.
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop data models using DBT and catalog assets in OpenMetadata.
• Write Python code for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
