Job summary

Google is seeking a Platform Customer Engineer in the US with deep cloud architecture experience and strong technical acumen. You will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud, engage in technical-led conversations, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that solve business challenges.

You will drive technical wins, deliver proofs-of-concepts, and collaborate with executives and engineers to create delivery plans and ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of cloud native architecture experience in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
• Experience presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, supporting targeted sales motions.
• Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture to prove value through demos and workshops.
• Architect cross-pillar solutions and define initial delivery plans for customers.
• Facilitate post-sales transition by supporting pricing and handoff to delivery teams.
• Maintain awareness of progress and support cross-functional teams through ramp and delivery.
