Job summary

Cordia Energy Services is seeking an Assistant Plant Operator to join the Pittsburgh International Airport Microgrid team. You will help operate and monitor power assets, coordinate outages and maintenance with the Remote Operations Center, and ensure reliable generation in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong communication, basic IT skills, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts. Onsite work at the airport microgrid involves following safety procedures and collaborating with field

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication.
• Good understanding of computer networks and devices.
• Ability to follow written procedures.
• Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Power plant operations experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work extended hours on short notice when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit availability, outages, startup and shutdown times.
• Monitor operating data and follow standard operating procedures.
• Notify CES operations team of abnormal conditions and dispatch on-call technicians.
• Follow established safety and operating procedures.
• Communicate with outside entities during troubleshooting evolutions.
• Assist with lockout/tagout activities as needed.
• Maintain event and data logs, generate reports as directed by management.
• Assist in maintenance activities under senior technicians.
