The Prince George's County Planning Department of The Maryland National-Capital Park and Planning Commission in Largo, Maryland is seeking a Planning Technician III to support planning staff with technical reviews, code interpretation, and public assistance.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with permit reviews, zoning and subdivision codes, and effective communication with applicants and reviewers.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience with plan, permit and development application review.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the required four years.

Aufgaben

• Review permits and minor subdivision applications for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify problems and changes needed for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with approved plans and post-approval requirements.
• Communicate needs and/ or deficiencies of application packages to applicants, agents and plan reviewers.
• Prepare review comments.
• Interpret codes, ordinances, maps, plans and planning procedures for the public and professionals.
