Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Piping Designer for a confidential data center project. The role focuses on piping design, layout and checking deliverables using CAD and 3D tools. You will guide project portions and ensure adherence to codes and standards while coordinating with other disciplines.

The position offers hybrid/remote work from Charlotte, NC with pay rates $60.00-$92.00 per hour. Experience with Revit 3D and piping design is essential, with opportunities to lead CAD teams on complex designs.

Qualifications

Proficient in piping design techniques and related standards.
Experience with CAD systems and 3D design tools including Revit 3D.
Strong understanding of engineering terminology and industry practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare design and detail layouts with minimal instruction per procedures.
Provide technical guidance for assigned projects.
Design, layout, and check deliverables.
Utilize CAD systems efficiently for 3D design.
Monitor CAD drafting work and coordinate with other disciplines.
Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, procedures, and specifications.
Prepare schedules for work assignments.
Prepare calculations to support designs.
