Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions team at the Newark ATCT (EWR) in Newark, NJ. The RPO supports FAA air traffic controller training by operating simulators and maintaining realistic pilot-controller communications.

The role requires US citizenship, a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to interpret diagrams. On-site work with potential for limited remote work is supported by the program.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read/interpret diagrams and manuals and speak clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Air Traffic Control training simulator as the Remote Pilot Operator (RPO).
• Input correct entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions and respond via the voice communication system.
• Communicate with students using proper ATC terminology and phraseology.
