Job summary

SAIC Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Pittsburgh ATCT / TRACON (PIT) in Pittsburgh, PA, supporting FAA air traffic controller training services.

The RPO operates a simulated radar display and voice system to simulate pilot actions and ATC communications, translating information into official terms and responding to students via the VCS.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals; speak clearly and be understood.

Responsibilities

• Operate the simulated radar display and voice system to emulate pilot actions and ATC communications.
• Input entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions and responses.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond to students via the voice communication system.
