Job summary

SAIC seeks a Casual, Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions team at the Chicago ARTCC (ZAU) in Aurora, IL. The RPO role involves simulating pilots and other controllers within a high-fidelity training environment for FAA programs, operating a simulated radar and voice system, and using proper ATC phraseology during exercises.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency are required.
• Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals and speak clearly.

Responsibilities

• Simulate pilot actions and ATC communications as part of the trainer-led exercises.
• Operate controlled radar display and voice system to replicate pilot actions during training.
• Translate information into ATC terminology and respond to students using proper phraseology.
• Complete required classroom and lab certifications to perform Remote Pilot Operator duties.
