Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Physician/Faculty Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment for physician and faculty positions, from sourcing to offer acceptance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in physician or faculty recruitment or healthcare talent acquisition.
• Experience recruiting within academic healthcare or medical groups preferred.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment marketing platforms.
• Knowledge of provider credentialing and licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for physician/faculty positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offer processes.
• Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies with departmental stakeholders.
• Source candidates using databases, networks, social media, and professional associations.
• Lead search committee meetings and advise on candidate evaluation.
• Serve as primary recruitment contact for candidates and hiring teams.
• Coordinate interview logistics and travel arrangements for candidates.
• Collaborate with HR, credentialing, and department leaders on pre-employment steps.
• Track recruitment metrics and maintain documentation.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout recruitment.
