The ideal candidate has at least five years of post-acute care coding experience, active CCS or CPC certification, and strong proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS within an EMR environment.

Qualificações

• Minimum of five years’ experience in medical coding
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
• Experience in post-acute care settings (e.g., skilled nursing facilities)
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and medical terminology

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular coding audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and reimbursement policies
• Develop and deliver educational materials on coding guidelines and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation and coding issues
• Optimize EMR processes to reduce denials and improve reimbursement
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting post-acute care coding
• Review medical records to assign precise codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS
• Deliver training to medical providers and onboarding staff
