Actalent is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a remote role based in Topeka, Kansas. The incumbent will evaluate and authorize commercial prior authorization requests from prescribers using clinical criteria in a call center setting.

The position requires strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits, documentation of outcomes, and clear communication with physicians and pharmacists. The role offers a contracted schedule with 8-hour shifts and competitive hourly pay.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State registration/license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• 1+ year of experience in retail or call center pharmacy environment.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and authorize approval of pharmacy requests based on clinical criteria, documenting outcomes and communicating pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives.
• Determine the appropriateness of medications and communicate decisions to physicians, office staff, medical management, and pharmacists.
• Escalate requests requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist following clear guidelines.
