Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Technician with an active New Hampshire license to support prior authorizations in a 100% remote capacity. You will work with patients, insurers, and healthcare teams to secure medication approvals, reduce costs, and promote adherence.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of technician experience and familiarity with claims adjudication, prior authorization, and appeals processes.

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• At least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Ability to acquire National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months if not certified.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; able to work independently remotely.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate medication approvals by communicating with insurance companies and providers.
• Enter data in pharmacy systems, adjudicate claims, process refills, and plan follow-ups.
• Document patient concerns and authorization status in EMR and databases.
• Review prescriptions with physicians to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and communications.
• Assist patients with insurance claims and access barriers.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Provide phone support and promote medication adherence.
• Research information to support operational decisions and data management.
• Identify trends and participate in process improvements.
