Job summary

Shields Health Solutions seeks a New Hampshire licensed Pharmacy Technician for a 100% remote role focused on prior authorizations and patient access. You will collaborate with patients, insurers, and physicians to secure approvals and reduce out‑of‑pocket costs, supporting adherence and overall outcomes.

In this fast-paced position, you will navigate pharmacy systems, document interactions, and work with pharmacists and care teams to ensure high-quality service while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician License required at time of hire.
• Minimum 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Ability to acquire National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months if not certified.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate medication approvals by communicating with insurers and providers.
• Enter data, adjudicate claims, process refills in pharmacy systems.
• Document patient concerns and financial needs within databases and EMR.
• Review prescriptions with physicians to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and communications.
• Assist patients with insurance claims and access challenges.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and cross-functional teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide phone support to promote adherence.
• Analyze information to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Maintain data within pharmacy and database systems.
• Identify trends and drive process improvements.
