Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician in a fully remote role requiring an active New Hampshire license. You will support patients, insurers, providers and pharmacists to facilitate prior authorizations and improve medication access.

You will work with cross-functional teams, enter data in pharmacy systems, review claims and help patients navigate financial assistance. A strong focus on adherence and quality care is essential.

Qualifications

• Active NH Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Ability to obtain National Certification within 9 months.
• Strong communication, documentation and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate medication approvals by contacting insurers and providers.
• Enter data in pharmacy systems, adjudicate claims and process refills.
• Document patient concerns and authorization status in EMR/email systems.
• Review prescriptions with physicians to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and communications.
• Assist patients with insurance claims and access challenges.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and cross-functional teams for quality care.
• Provide phone support to promote adherence and access.
• Research information to support operations and decisions.
• Manage data within pharmacy databases and systems.
• Identify trends, resolve issues and suggest improvements.
• Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the org.
• Protect patient confidentiality and data safety.
• Maintain professional development and continuing education.
• Minimal travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
