Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the 38529 Enterprise Pharmacy - Ambulatory Pharmacy in Charlotte, NC. The role supports patients in obtaining and applying for prescribed medications and works with pharmacists to schedule visits ensuring timely medication access.
The position requires strong customer service, Epic and Excel knowledge, and state licensure. NC-specific requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology; Certification (CPhT/ExCPT) preferred; 3
Qualifications
- Registration/Licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
- CPhT or ExCPT certification.
- Typically 3 years of experience in health care, insurance, pharmacy or medical background.
- Experience helping low income patients gain access to medications and scheduling patient appointments.
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills; strong communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
- Acts as an expert with equipment/technology in the area.
- Solves technical issues in the specialized area.
- Keeps documents and records accurate and timely.
- Coordinates with patients and care team for medication access.
- Supports implementation of operational changes and site/system standards.
- Participates in site/system work teams and committees as applicable.
- Complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Keeps knowledge updated and mentors others.
