Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and patient services in a full-time role at the Carolina CARE Pharmacy in Charlotte, NC. The position involves working 40 hours per week with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm and a sign-on bonus eligibility based on qualifications and eligibility.

Primary duties include dispensing, data entry, customer and nurse/patient communication, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• PTCB Certification required within two years of hire.
• Strong math, attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop dispensing and delivery competence with department information systems and automation.
• Prepare non-sterile products following USP/state/federal guidelines.
• Enter medication orders and process medication requests in the computer system.
• Manage calls from customers and healthcare team members with timely resolution or hand-off.
• Ensure pharmacy procedures and documentation meet regulatory requirements.
• Comply with USP and DNV standards and other applicable regulations.
