Job summary

Advocate Health’s Enterprise Pharmacy - Transitions of Care Services Acute Care is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to complete medication histories and support the care team. Shifts include AM 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or PM around 1:00 PM–9:30 PM with flexible start times.

The role requires 3 years of healthcare-related experience and licensure/certification such as CPhT or ExCPT. Requires high school diploma; an Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology is preferred in NC location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of healthcare, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background preferred.
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or ExCPT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Acts as expert with equipment and technology in the area.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation and records.
• Communicates with patients and care team to coordinate care.
• Supports departmental initiatives and changes.
