Job summary

SelectQuote Insurance (SelectRx) is seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to support licensed pharmacists remotely in processing prescriptions and health-related products. You will enter data, review patient profiles, and ensure accurate, timely processing while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

The role requires national certification and state licenses where applicable, strong data entry and communication skills, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required (PTCB or NHA).
• Indiana and Pennsylvania State Pharmacy Technician licenses required, or willingness to obtain.
• Assists licensed pharmacists in a remote location and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Entry and processing of medication orders into the pharmacy system.
• Process and enter prescriptions accurately and timely.
• Conduct medication history interviews and counseling on drug interactions.
• Follow all department policies and essential job functions.
• Represent SelectRx standards with courtesy and professionalism.
• Use multiple software programs to review patient profiles and orders.
• Enter correct administration times for automated dispensing devices.
• Spot-checks for errors and remediation as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records with careful attention to detail.
• Verify accuracy of patient and prescription information.
• Refer prescription questions to a Pharmacist or Supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient medications and PHI.
• Perform other tasks as directed and comply with HIPAA and laws.
