Job summary

Expion Health is seeking a Data Analyst, Pharmacy Analytics to be the dependable source behind the pharmacy data, reports, and dashboards used by Clinical, Client Operations, and Analytics teams. You will pull and validate pharmacy claims data, maintain recurring reports, and support ad hoc questions from internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of analytics experience in a pharmacy, PBM, or health plan setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, healthcare, information systems, finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and large datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL, reading, modifying, and troubleshooting queries.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality control and validate analytics work before release.
• Strong problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and root causes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage priorities and requests.
• Willingness to learn new systems/tools, including approved automation/AI tools, while validating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Pull and validate pharmacy claims data and related operational data using Snowflake, SQL, and analytics platforms.
• Build, maintain, and enhance recurring reports and dashboards; troubleshoot issues with technical owners.
• Monitor utilization, cost, rebate yield, share-shift, and drug trend data.
• Perform quality control on all outputs; reconcile totals and mappings; investigate anomalies.
• Support data requests and ad hoc analyses for Clinical, Client Operations, and Analytics.
• Manage recurring operational processes such as Medi-Span reporting and file distribution.
• Handle formulary-related requests, including one-off analyses and research.
• Communicate scope and turnaround with requestors; present client-facing conclusions to manager.
