Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for pharmacotherapy support in a remote role assisting Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. The position focuses on patient communication, care coordination, and medication management in a non-dispensing environment.

Requirements include 1+ year in pharmacy tech roles, HS diploma or GED, state registration, and strong skills in Epic and Microsoft Office. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• State-registered as pharmacy technician; national certification preferred but not required.
• 1+ year experience required; 5–8 years preferred in a clinical setting.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong data entry and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinic policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patient check-ins to monitor therapy and adherence.
• Assist with outreach to confirm therapy start and assess early experience.
• Coordinate patient appointments, follow-up visits and monitoring schedules.
• Support pharmacists by gathering patient information and preparing charts.
• Track labs or monitoring parameters and communicate status to the care team.
• Prepare and route prescription-related requests or renewals for review.
• Maintain documentation in required systems for continuity of care.
• Organize patient lists and call queues to improve workflow efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinic standards and policies.
• Participate in training and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
