Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a PFS Insurance Follow-Up Representative (Ambulatory Denials) to support billing and denial resolution remotely. The role covers denial appeals, eligibility issues, and payer communications, with a focus on physician fee-for-service workflows and AR management.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in medical insurance AR and appeal letters, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently from home in a state-eligible remote zone.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical Insurance AR and/or Physician Fee for Service Billing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience writing appeal letters for payer denials.
• Intermediate to Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate patient billing and collection tasks in assigned AR areas.
• Research denials, appeals, and payor remits to maximize reimbursement.
• Work with payors, providers, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
• Prepare and document issues lists and communicate status to payors.
• Respond to calls from patients and providers with clear, courteous service.
• Support days-and-dollars goals of the patient financial services team.
