Melita Group is seeking a remote People Operations Coordinator to serve as the HR liaison across client organizations. You will execute onboarding and offboarding, manage HR operations, and ensure compliance across the full employee lifecycle using systems like ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, and Rippling.

The role emphasizes high-touch client service with scalable, process-driven execution, requiring 3+ years in HR operations, strong communication, and experience managing multiple client accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of HR operations/generalist/HR services experience, preferably in HR outsourcing.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now / Paylocity / Rippling for new hire entry, employee changes, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of employment compliance requirements: I-9/E-Verify, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, EEO-1, and state-specific regulations.
• Strong client-facing communication skills with ability to facilitate meetings and manage priorities across multiple client accounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the People Operations contact for assigned client accounts.
• Lead and facilitate regularly scheduled client meetings with structured agendas.
• Identify HR risks or service gaps and escalate as needed.
• Partner with the People Operations Manager in new client HR workflows and communications planning.
• Participate in all phases of client implementation and HR operational readiness.
• Develop and customize client-specific HR templates (offer letters, onboarding checklists, policy acknowledgments, termination notices).
• Oversee collection and organization of client I-9 documentation; coordinate audit and transfer of records to active folders.
• Coordinate background check communications and ensure requirements are shared prior to HR Workflow meetings.
• Send onboarding communications to new hires and ensure data accuracy in HRIS.
• Ensure required pre-employment and new hire paperwork is collected timely.
• Conduct FLSA assessments to determine exempt/non-exempt status.
• Monitor and improve the onboarding workflow and collaborate with Benefits on content.
• Coordinate new hire orientation scheduling and logistics.
• Ensure state-mandated notifications for new hires.
