Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services, a top-5 U.S. brokerage, seeks an Underwriter to review, evaluate and underwrite assigned pricing requests. You will support underwriting teams, interact with clients and producers, and help develop pricing options.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, underwriting experience, and a license within 90 days. A continuing CE requirement is noted, with remote-friendly work options and opportunities for growth across national accounts.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Related underwriting experience.
• Valid Insurance License within 90 days.
• Continued CE requirements for license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of general underwriting for assigned accounts and/or programs.
• Provide underwriting and analytical support to service teams and clients.
• Meet with Producers, clients, Underwriters, Account Executives and Benefits Analysts to define and accomplish projects.
• Assist in development of pricing evaluations for options requested by clients and/or service teams.
• Assist in development, management and of timelines for projects of assigned accounts and execution of components.
• Work with internal staff and external vendors to complete projects and manage deadlines.
• Maintain data tracking and reporting for financial management, underwriting models and client reports.
• Responsible for data in carrier and reporting systems for data analysis and underwriting.
• Perform basic underwriting tasks independently with peer review.
• Maintain files and historical data on assigned clients and programs.
• Engage in educational opportunities to grow underwriting knowledge and market trends.
