Job summary

Fisher Phillips is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment litigation attorney to join as Special Counsel in our Virtual Office, supporting a dedicated PEO client across California, with focus in Northern California. Role requires in-person court appearances and long-term engagement in a high-volume docket.

The candidate will handle admin charges, demand letters, and employment litigation, manage strategy, drafts, and defend depositions while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with

Qualifications

• JD from ABA‑accredited law school.
• Seven or more years of employment law and litigation experience.
• Active California bar membership in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develop case strategy and oversee pleadings and motions.
• Take and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and trials/arbitrations.
• Supervise attorneys and legal staff; coordinate with partners and support teams.
• Maintain proactive communication with the PEO client and insurer; travel within Northern California as needed.
