Job summary

Corebridge Financial, Inc. is seeking a pension underwriting professional with actuarial or defined benefit pension plan expertise.

The role involves underwriting, project management across onboarding, and pension provisions review to support call center and operations, with governance and model risk responsibilities. The incumbent will guide cross-functional onboarding, review actuarial work, and contribute to accurate financial reporting while communicating complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Defined benefit pension plan experience required.
• Ability to interpret and implement complex pension plan provisions and draft documents.
• Pricing, Valuation, Actuarial Modeling, Pension Administration or Contract experience preferred.
• Pension benefit calculation modeling, testing or production experience.
• Project management experience required.
• Comfort with complexity and ambiguity and ability to explore multiple solutions.
• Governance and controls knowledge; familiarity with Microsoft Office; Copilot and VBA a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical actuarial/pension topics to Head of US PRT in New Jersey.
• Serve as defined benefit pension plan expert within the company.
• Assess pension risks, calculate premiums, and draft contract terms affecting premiums.
• Guide onboarding and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Design/governance, controls, processes and procedures.
• Review actuarial calculations and methodologies in controlled environment.
• Execute actuarial model risk management including development/testing.
• Support Operations and Valuation teams for accurate financial reporting.
• Think creatively and lead project efforts.
