Job summary

Common Ground in Michigan is seeking a remote MDHHS Peer Support Specialist to provide confidential peer support by phone, chat and text. The position requires MDHHS Peer Support Specialist certification (CPSS) or CPRC and at least 1 year of paid MDHHS peer support experience.

Base pay is $21 hourly. Full-time and part-time shifts are listed: 10:00–18:00 and 18:00–02:00 on various days; remote work from home is supported and encouraged.

Qualifications

• MDHHS Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or CPRC requirement.
• Minimum 1 year paid MDHHS peer support experience.
• Permanent year-round Michigan residency.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, chats and texts on the helpline.
• Provide peer support and coping strategies.
• Connect callers to MiCAL crisis line when needed.
• Share information about community resources.
• Document encounters and maintain confidentiality.
