Job summary

Recovery Innovations is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Peer Support Specialist I for the Out-Patient Community in Wilmington, DE. You will provide peer support, teach recovery skills, and advocate for individuals on their recovery journeys.

This role requires peer certification, a high school diploma, and lived experience with mental health or substance use services. Flexible nights and weekend rotations are included. Benefits support overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Peer Employment Training certification is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use services.
• Ability to pass de-escalation training as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership.
• Teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Model hope, responsibility and self-advocacy to support recovery goals.
• Assist in developing natural supports and community living.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to arrange services.
