Job summary

Recovery Innovations, doing business as RI International, seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist I at the Crisis Care Center in Franklin County. You will provide peer support, teach recovery tools, and advocate for clients on their path to recovery.

This role requires a lived experience with mental health/substance use services and completion of Peer Employment Training. The position is full-time, non-exempt, temporary up to 12 weeks with potential to transition to permanent based on

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership and assists in identifying participant’s hopes and dreams.
• Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Models hope, personal responsibility and self-advocacy to demonstrate recovery goals.
• Assists in developing natural supports and community living.
• Coordinates with the individual’s clinical team to arrange services or resources.
