Recovery Innovations in Peoria, AZ is hiring a Peer Support Specialist I to provide recovery training and peer support at the Crisis - Recovery Response Center. This full-time, non-exempt role works Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 7:00am–7:30pm, with court-hearing availability when listed as a witness.

Requires Peer Employment Training and Certification as a Peer Support Specialist, plus a High School Diploma.

Formación

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and Certification as a Peer Support Specialist is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience living with mental health and/or substance use challenges is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to teach recovery information.

Responsabilidades

• Provides peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership and assists in identifying participant’s hopes and dreams.
• Teaches recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Models hope, personal responsibility and self-advocacy to demonstrate how recovery goals can be met.
• Assists in developing natural supports and community living.
