Job summary

Boulder Care is hiring a Peer Recovery Specialist for a fully remote, Ohio-based position. You will offer recovery-oriented support, using lived experience, and work within trauma-informed, harm-reduction principles to empower patients navigating recovery.

The role requires 2+ years in peer recovery, active Ohio certification, and the potential to obtain NCPRSS within 9 months. Expect regular weekday hours and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in peer recovery support, including navigation of opioid use disorder resources and referrals.
• Active peer certification in good standing in Ohio.
• National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) through NAADAC or ability to obtain within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized peer recovery support to patients with varying levels of need and complexity.
• Build sustained, trusting relationships that promote recovery and community connection.
• Use lived experience to support patients while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Help patients establish recovery goals and develop practical strategies to achieve them.
• Provide peer support during periods of increased vulnerability and transitions in care.
