Boulder Care is hiring a Peer Recovery Specialist for a fully remote, full-time position based in Ohio. You will provide peer support to individuals navigating substance use disorders and connect them with resources for treatment and recovery. In this role, you will apply lived experience to support autonomy, maintain HIPAA-compliant practices, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to help patients set and pursue recovery goals while working Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.

to 6:00 p.m. ET.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of experience in peer recovery support, including navigating opioid use disorder treatment resources and referral processes.
• Active peer certification in good standing in the state of residence, where available.
• Current certification as an NCPRSS through NAADAC, or the ability to obtain certification within 9 months of hire.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide individualized peer recovery support to patients with varying levels of need and complexity.
• Build sustained, trusting relationships that promote recovery, self-efficacy, and community connection.
• Use lived experience to support patients while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Help patients establish recovery goals, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies for achieving these goals.
• Provide peer support during periods of increased vulnerability, including transitions in care and changes in recovery support.
• Coordinate effectively with clinical, care management, and community partners.
• Assist patients in identifying barriers to engagement and develop peer-based strategies to improve participation and connection to services.
• Recognize risk, safety concerns, and situations outside the scope of peer support and elevate as needed.
• Collaborate with team leadership to implement projects and initiatives as needed.

Kenntnisse

2+ years of peer recovery experience

Active peer certification in Ohio

NCPRSS certification or ability to get

Exceptional written and verbal skills
