Job summary

Blackbird Health seeks an Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. You will build connections with families from the start, educate them about care options, and ensure a smooth transition into ongoing treatment.

This remote, part-time role requires a minimum of 10 hours per week and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license in the US jurisdictions listed.
• Minimum of 2 years independent PMHNP practice.
• At least 1 year experience with children/adolescents.
• Board certification by ANCC or AANP (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA license and prescriptive authority; autonomous practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for youth.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and establish care foundations.
• Collaborate with therapists to coordinate integrated care.
• Educate families about diagnoses and treatment options.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant intake documentation.
