Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking an Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. You’ll build trusting connections with patients and families from the first contact, educating them about treatment options and care pathways.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program, PMHNP-BC, and at least one year of independent psychiatric experience.
• Active Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey PMHNP licenses and State Prescriptive Authority.
• Minimum 12 hours per week during after-school hours; fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that establish a strong clinical foundation.
• Build meaningful connections with patients and families from the start of care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure correct ongoing provider match.
• Oversee diagnostic testing and maintain HIPAA-compliant intake documentation.
