Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking an Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver thorough psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team to educate families about care options and establish individualized treatment plans from day one.

This fully remote role requires PMHNP-BC certification, a master’s in nursing, and at least one year of independent practice under licensure, with active licenses in NJ/PA/VA/MD.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited nursing program and PMHNP-BC certification.
• At least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure.
• Active PMHNP license and prescriptive authority in NJ/VA/MD/PA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for youth and young adults.
• Build meaningful first connections and educate families about care options.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to match patients with the right provider.
• Coordinate integrated care with therapists and specialists.
• Provide family education and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Monitor safety and intervene when concerns arise.
