Qualifications

• This role requires 5+ years of core payroll experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll, wage-and-hour rules, and payroll tax compliance is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead a payroll team; strong analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop payroll coordinators, set work priorities, and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple cycles and payment methods.
• Ensure accuracy of timekeeping data, deductions, garnishments, and off-cycle payments.
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and coordinate with Accounting for journals and accruals.
• Maintain compliance with FLSA and federal, state, and local wage-and-hour rules.
