Job summary

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations across our portfolio of performing arts businesses. This remote, full-time role focuses on accurate, timely payroll across multiple schedules and locations, acting as a trusted contact for employees and managers.

The role requires data-driven thinking, strong Excel skills (pivot tables), and experience with Paylocity. You will ensure payroll accuracy, provide clear pay explanations, and help improve payroll

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience with core payroll functions, including processing across multiple pay schedules.
• Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Customer service experience supporting employees or managers directly, with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Employee Support: serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager payroll questions; respond promptly and accurately.
• Payroll Processing: prepare and process payroll accurately and on deadline; compile data from multiple systems.
• Data Management: maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity; administer the employee incentive program through Snappy.
• Reporting & Compliance: prepare payroll reports (overtime, healthcare lookback) and support government reporting requirements.
