Stabbert Maritime is a Seattle-based maritime company seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage weekly and biweekly payrolls for shipyards, vessel operating companies, and staff. You will own payroll accuracy, bonuses, deductions, and related journal entries while collaborating with Accounting and HR.

This full-time, exempt role can be performed remotely, with a preference for Ballard, WA office four days per month.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 3 years of multi-entity payroll experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional or Payroll Compliance Practitioner credentials are beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise experience.
• Experience leading or supporting payroll implementations.
• Maritime payroll knowledge or project-based payroll is a plus.
• Experience with Paylocity preferred.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Process weekly and biweekly payrolls across multiple entities and staff.
• Ensure accurate calculation of payroll, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits.
• Serve as the primary payroll expert and coordinate with Accounting and HR.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile related accounts.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and assist in financial statement drafts.
• Develop and improve payroll processes and technology for efficiency.
• Support AR, AP, and purchasing roles as needed.
