Qualifications

• Knowledge of US payroll, payroll tax, and multi-state compliance requirements.
• Experience managing payroll projects, implementations, or entity transitions.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• This is a temporary engagement, with the possibility of extension.
• Remote-first, with flexibility to be located anywhere in Canada.
• Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the payroll and compliance workstream for the US Branch to US LLC transition.
• Assist with deregistration and final filings for the existing US Branch across ~36 state and local jurisdictions.
• Execute state and local payroll tax registrations for the new US LLC.
