Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll for about 3,000 employees across 10+ states and multiple legal entities. The role manages a small team and requires strong multi-site experience, with monthly travel.

You will oversee regular and off-cycle payrolls, ensure controls and accuracy, and support audits, while partnering with Finance and HR to maintain data integrity and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 3+ years supporting multi-state payroll for 2,000+ employees.
• 2+ years of direct payroll team leadership experience.
• Experience managing payroll internal controls, reconciliations, segregation of duties, and multi-entity payroll.
• Experience supporting financial statement and retirement plan audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field, or Associate’s degree with equivalent payroll experience.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing regular and off-cycle payrolls, maintaining payroll controls and approval processes
• Completing pre-payroll reviews and variance analysis
• Managing multi-state tax and wage compliance
• Reconciling payroll to the general ledger
• Supporting financial, retirement plan, workers’ compensation, and regulatory audits
• Partner closely with Finance and HR, oversee payroll system and data integrity, support acquisition integrations
• Personally handle complex payroll issues, year-end processing, and tax matters.
