Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to oversee payroll processes for US and global teams. You’ll audit payroll runs, ensure tax filings are accurate, and drive efficiency across payroll operations while maintaining compliance with US law.

You will mentor the payroll administrator and collaborate with finance and HR, leveraging Workday and other HRIS tools to optimize workflows and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in payroll.
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS; Workday required (2+ years).
• Strong knowledge of US payroll laws and payroll tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit payroll for accuracy before finalization.
• Manage internal and external payroll audits.
• Handle quarterly and year-end US payroll tax filings.
• Coordinate with state agencies to resolve tax discrepancies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll ops.
