Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager who blends people leadership with deep payroll technical expertise. This is a 100% remote role where you’ll actively operate payroll processes and coach a high-performing team.

You’ll lead full-cycle multi-state payroll, handle tax filings, audits, and regulatory changes, and partner with Accounting, Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure wage/hour compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll supervisory/management role.
• Experience with multi-state payroll, complex wage/hour laws, and enterprise systems.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a relational, service-oriented payroll team.
• Direct and execute full-cycle multi-state payroll processing and audits.
• Own in-house payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, HR, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and ensure wage/hour compliance.
• Drive continuous process improvements and system upgrades (e.g., PeopleSoft).
