Job summary

Ring & DuChateau Consulting Engineers is seeking a highly organized Payroll Assistant for a full-time contract role in the United States. You will support payroll processing, maintain accurate compensation records, verify timesheets, and assist with payroll documentation and payments.

The role requires 1–3 years of payroll experience, strong numerical and organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel and payroll software.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related administrative role.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with payroll software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Process employee payroll including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Review timesheets and attendance for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and update payroll records, compensation details, and payment information.
• Verify payroll data and identify discrepancies or missing information.
• Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation for review.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay statements and schedules.
• Support tax forms, benefits deductions, and other payroll documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow payroll policies and data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll audits and ensure records are maintained for reporting and compliance.
• Monitor payroll deadlines and suggest workflow improvements.
