Job summary

Integrated Resources Institute is seeking a Payroll and AP Specialist to manage full-cycle payroll and accounts payable. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strong Excel skills, supporting remote work with a path to the Los Angeles area office.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in payroll and AP, familiarity with Paycor/Paychex/QBO, and a solid understanding of California payroll regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle payroll processing and accounts payable experience for at least 250 employees hourly and salary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (pivot tables and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP).
• Experience with payroll and accounting systems (e.g., Paycor, Paychex, QuickBooks Online).
• Knowledge of California payroll and HR regulations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor documentation.
• Generate payroll/AP reports for senior leadership.
• Respond to inquiries regarding payroll, expenses, and policies.
• Maintain payroll and accounts payable records.
• Assist CalSavers administration and wage withholding orders.
• Reconcile accounts payable and payroll systems.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain digital records in QuickBooks Online and OneDrive.
