Job summary

Bloomerang is a mission-driven company empowering nonprofits with a payments platform and strong support. The Payments Risk Analyst will build processes, systems, and tools to manage financial and compliance risk while monitoring transaction patterns and customer behavior to reduce risk.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and CX to develop risk policies, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring secure growth for Bloomerang and its customers.

Qualifications

• Exceptional research and investigative abilities.
• Excellent communication and empathy while assessing risk.
• Capable of working independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with NACHA and card networks is a plus.
• Interest in responsibly integrating AI tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify trends and patterns in transaction activity related to fraud or risk.
• Recommend actions to Senior Leadership for high‑risk accounts.
• Use analytics tools to prioritize risk alerts by severity.
• Help develop risk policies aligned with departmental goals and value for Bloomerang and customers.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and CX to implement risk best practices.
