Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Payments Operations Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments across ACH, wires, and other channels. The role supports back-end operations including OFAC screening, fraud monitoring, reconciliation, billing, and audit/compliance tasks.

Based in Middletown, PA but offering fully remote work, you will monitor queues, investigate exceptions, generate reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve payment processing efficiency and

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED.
3–5 years in payments operations or related finance function.
Knowledge of ACH, wires, positive pay, and cross-border payments.
Familiarity with NACHA, OFAC, BSA/AML, Reg CC, and related regs.

Responsibilities

Process daily payment transactions (ACH, wires, foreign checks, positive pay) per procedures and SLAs.
Monitor payment queues, exceptions, and suspicious activity; escalate as needed.
Review OFAC alerts and document rationale.
Monitor ACH and wire activity for fraud indicators and anomalies.
Research and resolve payment exceptions, failed transactions, duplicates, recalls, and misdirected funds.
Perform daily reconciliation of ACH, wire, and positive pay against GL accounts.
Compile billing data for services based on volume and fees.
Generate routine/ad hoc reports on payment activity and audits.
