Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in San Francisco is seeking a hands-on Payment Operations specialist to scale our banking and payment rails. You’ll build systems to automate workloads and support ACH, wires, RTP, and FedNow while collaborating across teams.

This role reports to the Head of Solutions Engineering and requires a bachelor’s degree, comfort with SQL/JavaScript/Python, and a bias for action to fix processes and improve customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Familiarity with NACHA rules and wire transfer concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems to automate operations using Retool, SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
• Operate and continuously improve end-to-end payment operations processes (ACH, wires, RTP, FedNow, checks).
• Manage the payment operations queue—triaging and resolving inquiries.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to track health and efficiency of operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, Risk and Customer teams to ensure compliant resolution of issues.
• Document processes and playbooks to enable onboarding and scaling.
• Identify operational risks and suggest tooling or process improvements.
